Why this blog post? Are there really earrings that will look better on short hair?

Well, there are some earrings that will bring out the best of short hair, particularly if you have been wearing your hair long and decided to snip your locks off. You’ll most likely look fresher without the heaviness of long hair, and be very surprised to discover that the earrings which never complimented your long locks now seem to magically rock your shorter hairdo! Personally, I think that is because your face is now no longer hiding behind your hair, and every little accessory (when chosen well) can really pick up details from your face and play up your features better. 

Can I wear bigger earrings with my short hair?

While earrings for short hair tend to be generally smaller like stud earrings, this shouldn’t be taken as a hard and fast rule. The truth is, earrings for short hair are as varied as earrings for any kind of hairstyles or hair lengths. There has been expert advice for those with short hair to avoid the overly large-sized, loud, flamboyant earrings as the sheer size of the earrings may take the attention away from your face. But if that’s your style and matches both your personality and outfit, who’s to say no? 

Can I wear long earrings with my short hair?

This is probably the more common question. Of course you can! In fact, you can use longer earrings to accentuate or play up your facial features and hair length. Pixie crops look uber cute with dangle earrings. 

The more important question you should ask yourself is how comfortable you are with the length of the earrings. Now, a pair of shoulder duster earrings may look stunning on you, but if you constantly feel something tickling you all the time (or worse, imagine the tassels or the end of the earrings to be a flying insect brushing against your shoulders), then that earring length may not be right for you.
