Wearing Jade for Healing, Mental Health and Meditation

· ·

Longevity, wisdom, luck, prosperity. To the Chinese, Jade is an all encompassing stone that conveys all these and more. Precious jade jewellery participates in most Chinese customary practices and continues to be a traditional stone passed from generation to generation.

Known as: Stone of Luck & Happiness

Jade and Healing

Jade is said to be a catalyst in speeding up recovery after illness or post surgery. It is widely believed to support the human reproductive systems, particularly in increasing fertility and balancing hormonal levels in women.

Jade and Mental Health

Jade has a clearing vibration that soothes and nurtures. It also dispels negativity from your environment and cleanses negative vibes from your aura. This makes Jade a powerful stone for emotional healing and harmonizing feelings of inadequacy and fears. It encourages honesty, good energy and promotes self love and self acceptance; thus attracting love and feelings of self worth.

Jade & Meditation

As Jade is a powerful cleansing stone, it is often used for mental clarity and focus. Commonly seen on desks in the form of carved statues or coins, Jade is believed to be the stone for making sound decisions and wise investments. Such is the power of Jade that many have used Jade in their meditation rituals to center and ground. Interestingly, the different colours of jade generate specific vibrations for different benefits.

Darker shades are used to center, ground and clear, while the lighter green shades calm the mind and are used to still agitated minds. The purplish Lavender jade supports intuition and instincts so that you can learn to trust yourself better.

Jade as an Earth Stone

As Jade is an Earth Stone, it is commonly paired with other Earth stones such as Onxy, Obsidian and Black Tourmaline. Earth stones are also complementary with water stones such as Rose Quartz, Moonstone, Aquamarine and Pearl.

Wearing Jade as Jewellery

Our grandmothers and mothers wore jade in simple studs or plain bangles. Today, Jade jewellery inspires me both in its heritage and modern interpretations. Here are my modern takes of this ancient gemstone as contemporary earrings and necklaces, designed to take you from easy charm to casual glamour.
